IS THIS AN ABUSIVE BOYFRIEND?

by SAMANTHA
(VILLE PLATTE, LA)

OK. IVE BEEN DATING THE GUY FOR 7 MONTHS. WE JUST MOVED IN 2 MONTHS AGO TOGETHER. HE SEEMED LIKE THE BEST BOYFRIEND EVER IN THE BEGINNING. I HAVE BEEN NOTICING SIGNS AND DIDN'T KNOW IF IT WAS ABUSIVE. SO I WENT ONLINE TO LOOK AT SIGNS. IT SEEMS LIKE IT IS TO ME. HE HAS BEEN HAVING TEMPER PROBLEMS AND LITTLE THINGS MAKE HIM JUST SLAM A DOOR OR HIT THE WALL. AND HE MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH OR ALWAYS SAYING THINGS TO BRING ME DOWN. IS THIS RIGHT??? SOMEONE POST BACK AND LET ME KNOW. THANKS(:

This is not right

A real man who truly loves and cares about you will make you feel good about yourself. He will make you feel like you're the prettiest woman in the world. If a guy has that kind of problems with anger, the door or wall will eventually be your face. Then what will you do?

Save yourself the emotional pain and run while you still have your legs unbroken. Run as far away as possible. At the first sign of anger towards you, block him from the phone, internet, and any form of communication. This might mean you have to get a protection [from abuse] order do it. Save yourself before it's too late. I believe if you have to ask yourself is this unhealthy... it probably is.

Good luck. Run far and fast.
