Failed marriage ?

by Siddhartha
(India)

I am 40 years old male. I live with my parents. I got married in 2015. We have our daughter in 2017.

Now the issue is that my spouse is working and she doesn't help in daily household work. She doesn't respect my parents. My income is limited however I didn't ask any financial support from her. But she scolds me for my income and wants monthly allowance even though her income is more than me. Literally we rarely involved in sexual activity since my daughter's birth.

I am in mild depression due to all this. Also worried about daughters future so I do not want to take divorce. Please help me out and provide some guidance.

"You gave us counseling without making either one of us feel that you were taking sides.
You always maintained your impartiality with us. You encouraged Rita to be more assertive in stating what she wanted to get from your counseling sessions, as well as what she wanted to get from the relationship.
You taught both of us better communication between ourselves, which lead to an emotional comfort level between us that didn't exist before.
You took control of the direction of the session if things were not moving along.
Thanks so much
for helping us."
