What do I say to break the silence?

A week ago my husband and I were arguing, he said to me "nothing you say makes any sense" I said to him "You almost never have anything positive to say to me" We haven't talked since.


What do I say to him to break the silence? I want an apology and he almost never apologizes. He just gets mad & only stays mad for short time. I end up having to forget that I feel an apology from him is necessary and get over it. I am tired if "getting over it"
